A series of motion posters created for Helsinki metro stations screens as an academic project. The series features six animations, each drawing inspiration from the unique architecture and visual character of a specific station. These elements are translated into abstract but recognizable shapes and movement patterns. To tie the project together, all the posters share a consistent typographic style, featuring the station’s name and the HSL logo, creating a unified visual identity.

This approach gives each station its own distinct personality through motion and form, while maintaining a cohesive look across the entire campaign.
The project was inspired by the Demo Festival, an initiative that transforms public advertising screens into canvases for digital art. By reimagining how these screens are used, the project explores how playful, artistic motion graphics can become part of everyday public spaces.
