A city-branding redesign proposal for the city of Klaipėda in Lithuania developed in collaboration with the Klaipėda faculty of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. The logo draws on the aerial outline of the Klaipėda Castle, using a form connected to the city’s history as the starting point for its visual identity.

The proposal combines this historical reference with a four-colour palette connecting the city to its surroundings. The Red and Yellow draw from the city’s historical coat of arms. Blue refers to the Baltic Sea and Klaipėda’s role as a Lithuanian port, while green represents the surrounding fields. Together, the symbol and palette bring references to the city’s history and landscape into a visual language.
