Nepal’s 8000m Peaks Visualized is an interactive data visualization webpage that uses data from the Himalayan Database to let users explore and compare Nepal’s eight 8,000-metre peaks and their expedition histories. It reveals which mountain is the highest, which was first climbed, which has the most ascents, and which has proved deadliest, among other insights. The project was developed under the supervision of researchers in Aalto University’s Information Design department.
